Netanyahu’s Legacy
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s legacy was the focus of remarks by former Israel Bar Association chairman Ephraim “Efi” Nave, who said Netanyahu will go down as one of the greatest leaders in Israel’s history.
Nave made the comments in an interview with Naveh Dromi on i24NEWS.
Nave previously led the Israel Bar Association, one of Israel’s most influential legal bodies. The organization represents the country’s legal profession. It also plays a visible role in public debates over law, courts, and governance.
Therefore, his comments carry more weight than ordinary political praise. They come from a figure who spent years inside Israel’s legal and public establishment.
“Netanyahu will be remembered in history as one of the greatest leaders in the history of the State of Israel,” Naveh said.
“I think that on a historical level, what he did will be remembered for many years to come.”
Leadership Under Fire
Nave pointed specifically to Netanyahu’s wartime leadership. He praised the decision to send Israeli pilots to strike Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

“At the end of the day, you need courage to send 200 pilots alone to Iran to bomb their entire nuclear industry,” he added.
For Nave, that decision reflects the kind of leadership history remembers. It is not daily political noise. Instead, it is the willingness to make dangerous decisions when the survival of the Jewish state is at stake.
Israel’s leaders face coalition pressure, international criticism, media attacks, and constant security threats. However, history usually asks a harder question: did the leader protect the nation when it mattered most?
A Question of History
Netanyahu remains one of Israel’s most controversial and consequential political figures. Still, his supporters argue that history will measure his legacy through security decisions, strategic courage, and the defense of Israel against enemies who seek its destruction.
In that view, the Iran operation was not only a military decision. It was part of Israel’s long battle to protect Jewish life, defend sovereignty, and ensure that the Jewish people never again depend on others for survival.
Ultimately, Nave’s message was clear: history, not the daily news cycle, will measure Netanyahu’s place among Israel’s leaders.
