Today (Sunday), Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Jerusalem. Following the meeting, the two issued a joint statement, addressing the key security concerns currently at stake, including the Iranian threat, the hostage situation, and the war in Gaza.

Netanyahu emphasized that Iran was the central topic of their discussion, stating: “We agree that Iranian aggression must be stopped on the ground. This is the primary threat to regional stability, and Israel will do whatever is necessary to prevent it from growing stronger.”

Additionally, he addressed the war in Gaza and the efforts to secure the hostages’ release, making a firm declaration: “Contrary to reports, President Trump and I are working in full cooperation and coordination. We have a joint strategy, which we cannot always discuss publicly, including when ‘the gates of hell’ will open. And if all our hostages do not return, every last one of them – they will open.”

Rubio: “Trump Is Israel’s Greatest Ally”

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the American administration is resolutely working for the release of the hostages, declaring: “President Trump has made it clear that the hostages must be freed, and we are working with the Israeli government to ensure that happens. It’s a moral obligation.”

Rubio further stated: “Hamas cannot continue ruling Gaza; it must be completely destroyed.” He also underscored that Iran remains a top concern: “Iran is the source of instability in the region. It will not obtain nuclear capability, and President Trump has been unequivocal on this matter.”

During the meeting between Netanyahu and Rubio, a video documenting the atrocities of the October 7th attack was screened for Rubio’s team. A source present in the room described the American delegation’s reactions to witnessing the horrors committed by Hamas terrorists as “extremely distressed”. Rubio himself had already seen the footage in his previous role as a Senator.

Israel and the United States remain firmly aligned in their commitment to eliminating threats and securing regional stability. As tensions persist, Netanyahu and Rubio’s strong stance signals unwavering resolve in the fight against Hamas and Iranian aggression.
