I bow my head in honor of the grieving families and pray for the full recovery of the injured. These brave warriors who sacrificed their lives for the protection of our people and homeland will never be forgotten. May their memory be blessed and preserved in our hearts forever.”

Yoav Feffer: A Young Man of Values, Humility, and Dreams, from Herzliya
Herzliya Mayor Yariv Fisher wrote: “Yoav wasn’t just a neighbor; he was an integral part of our community. He was a modest and virtuous young man with dreams, who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect us. The pain of losing such a hero is beyond words.”

Captain Yair Yaakov Shoshan: A Towering Figure, the Pride of the Nation, from Maalot-Tarshiha
At his high school, the ORT yeshiva in Maalot, the staff expressed their sorrow: “We are devastated by the loss of our dear alumnus, Yair Shoshan, who was the salt of the earth. Our thoughts are with his family during this unimaginable time.”

Aviel Weissman: Embracing the Grieving Family, from Upper Poria
The Upper Poria municipality shared: “Aviel was a valued member of our community. His family is in our hearts during this time of sorrow. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.”

Guy Carmiel: Offering Warm Embrace and Support, from Gedera
Gedera’s local council mourned his loss: “With great sorrow and broken hearts, we received the devastating news of the passing of Israel’s hero, Staff Sergeant Guy Carmiel. We embrace his grieving family and promise to stand by their side, offering a warm embrace and unwavering support in any way needed.
In this painful time, on behalf of the residents of Gedera, the council head, its members, and all staff, we extend our deepest condolences and sincere love to Guy’s family – his parents, Meirav and Oren; his sisters, Adi and Hila; his grandfather, Udi; and his grandmothers, Riva and Fruma.
Guy, a heroic fighter in the Nahal Brigade’s elite reconnaissance unit, was an active member of the Maccabi Tzair youth movement and a proud graduate of the Darca Ramon high school in Gedera. He will forever be remembered as an integral part of Gedera’s story and that of the State of Israel.
Guy was a young man of values, a leader, humble and full of dreams. It is difficult to grasp this loss.
We call on the public to pay their final respects by arriving half an hour before the funeral, bringing Israeli flags, and lining Ben Gurion Street from the cemetery to accompany Guy on his final journey.”

Faith and Sacrifice
These young heroes, who stood in defense of Israel and its people, embody the Biblical call to courage and sacrifice. As the Scriptures remind us in Psalm 144:1: “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” Their sacrifice is a testament to their devotion to the land and people of Israel, and their memory will remain a source of inspiration and strength for the nation.
