After 15 months of conflict, ceasefires on both fronts have prompted foreign airlines to resume flights to Israel, a testament to the IDF’s success in weakening Israel’s adversaries and resolving air travel threats. Just days after Lufthansa announced its intention to resume operations, Air France confirmed today (Tuesday) that it will restart flights to Israel as early as this Saturday night.

Air France plans to resume direct flights between Paris and Tel Aviv on January 25th, with daily flights operated by the Airbus A350-900. This advanced aircraft offers upgraded travel experiences, including premium economy, flat-laying business class seats, personal entertainment screens, and Wi-Fi for all passengers. Ticket prices for select March dates start at $522, signaling a competitive shift in airfare costs.

The Effort to Bring Airlines Back to Israel
As an “island” in global air travel, Israel faced unique challenges during wartime. Major international airlines quickly suspended flights due to security risks and potential disruptions, leaving El Al as the sole operator and driving ticket prices significantly higher. Since the ceasefires, Israeli officials, travelers, and the Israel Airport Authority have worked diligently to restore market competition by persuading foreign airlines to return.

A Reflection of Renewed Trust

Air France’s decision to resume flights symbolizes growing confidence in Israel’s security and stability. This move not only revives international air travel but also bolsters economic recovery and reopens connections between Israel and the world. As Psalm 121:8 reminds us: “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

With skies reopening and trust restored, Israel’s resilience shines brightly, marking a new chapter of hope and opportunity for the nation and its people.
