Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a direct warning on Iran’s nuclear program. He promised that Tehran will not obtain nuclear weapons while he leads Israel.
“As long as I am prime minister of Israel, Iran will not have nuclear weapons,” Netanyahu said.
The statement puts Iran’s nuclear ambitions at the center of Israel’s security agenda. At the same time, it reflects Israel’s long-standing position. A nuclear Iran would threaten the Jewish state and destabilize the region.
Full Agreement With Trump
Netanyahu said he and President Donald Trump agree fully on the issue.
That coordination with Washington has become central to Netanyahu’s message, especially as Israel continues to press the world to confront Iran’s nuclear threat.

“President Trump and I are in full agreement on this issue,” he said.
For Israel, that agreement carries major strategic weight. Moreover, the Iranian nuclear threat does not stop at Israel’s borders. It affects the Middle East, America’s allies, and the wider global order.
Therefore, Netanyahu made clear that he views this fight as one of his life’s central missions.
Thirty-Year Fight
“For more than 30 years, I have been at the forefront of the international fight against Iran’s nuclear program,” Netanyahu said.
According to Netanyahu, this campaign blocked Iran from reaching a far more dangerous point.
“Without this fight, Iran would long ago have had atomic bombs to destroy Israel,” he said.
In addition, Netanyahu framed the issue in stark national terms. He said the Iranian regime seeks Israel’s destruction. He also said he has devoted his life to stopping it.
“Iran is working to destroy the Jewish state, and I am dedicating my life to preventing them from doing so,” he said.
Ultimately, Netanyahu ended with another clear promise.
“As long as I am prime minister of Israel, that will not happen,” Netanyahu said.
