Family of a Hostage: We Have Received a ‘Sign of Life’ from Eitan, “He is Alive”

After months of uncertainty, the family of hostage Eitan Mor has, for the first time, received ‘proof of life’ from their son, who is being held by Hamas in Gaza.

In a conversation with Rega NEWS, family members shared their emotions upon receiving the update. “It was an overwhelming joy; we felt immense relief.”

“Negotiating with Terrorists Encourages Future Kidnappings”

Eitan Mor is one of dozens of hostages who have yet to be released, and his family continues to fight for his return home along with the other captives. The news that he is alive has given his family renewed hope, but at the same time, they emphasize that the release of hostages must come from a position of strength, not surrender. From their perspective, any negotiations with Hamas only embolden the terrorists and encourage further kidnappings in the future.

“We Must Not Surrender to Hamas’ Demands”

According to the family, the only way to ensure the safe return of the hostages and maintain Israel’s security is to apply maximum military and economic pressure—without compromise or concessions. “We cannot afford to surrender to Hamas’ demands—this would send a dangerous message for generations to come,” they said, calling on the government to act decisively and ensure that Hamas can no longer use hostages as bargaining chips.

“New Testimonies Indicate Matan is Alive”

This morning, Rega NEWS also reported that the mother of hostage Matan Angrest announced in an interview with Channel 12 that her family has received new testimonies confirming that he is alive.

This information has sparked renewed hope, months after the last ‘sign of life’ was released in September, in a video where he addressed the camera and spoke directly to the Prime Minister.
