As part of its ongoing counter-terrorism efforts in the Gaza Strip, the IDF carried out a series of precision strikes against senior Hamas figures over the past week. According to a report released today (Thursday), the operation eliminated Osama Abu Namous, commander of the “Sabra” Battalion, his deputy Muhammad al-Tarak, and other operatives involved in planning and executing attacks targeting IDF forces and Israeli civilians in the Netzarim corridor. These successful strikes, conducted by the Israeli Air Force, were based on precise intelligence provided by Military Intelligence (AMAN), Shin Bet, and the Southern Command

Osama Abu Namous, a key figure in Hamas’ Gaza City Brigade, was known for directing operations in the Netzarim corridor and serving as a critical source of operational intelligence for Hamas. His deputy, Muhammad al-Tarak, previously led the battalion’s elite Nukhba company and played a pivotal role in coordinating attacks against the IDF. Additional operatives, including Hamza Diri and Mahmoud Shahin, were also neutralized, dealing a significant blow to Hamas’ weapons transfers and operational plans.
