Today (Friday), a series of powerful strikes targeted Houthi militia sites in northern Sana’a, Yemen, with at least 12 explosions reported in the Harf Sufyan area of Amran Province, a key Houthi stronghold. These strikes, which hit underground facilities, radar systems, and missile launch sites, come amid heightened tensions following recent Houthi launches toward Israel.
Strategic Operations Highlight Growing Regional Tensions
The reports are still developing, and no details have yet been released regarding the extent of the damage or casualties. While no country has yet claimed responsibility for the operation, the strikes appear to align with efforts to neutralize Iranian-backed threats in the region. Since the outbreak of hostilities, the IDF has been engaged in a multi-front campaign to protect Israeli citizens, intercepting approximately 40 missiles and over 100 UAVs launched by the Houthis, according to a recent report by an IDF spokesperson, with most causing no significant damage. Just last night, three UAVs from Yemen were successfully intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.

Leveraging Cultural Expertise in the Fight Against Terror
The IDF has taken additional measures to address the Houthi threat, including the recruitment of Yemeni-Jewish Israelis into its intelligence units. These recruits, fluent in Yemeni Arabic and deeply familiar with the culture, play a crucial role in enhancing intelligence operations and countering Houthi aggression.
Steadfast Faith in the Face of Adversity
Israel continues to face its enemies with courage and resolve. Just as Deborah encouraged Barak to rise against the Canaanite commander Sisera and fight for peace in Israel, saying, “Go! This is the day the Lord has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the Lord gone ahead of you?” – Judges 4:14, so too must Israel today remain steadfast in their faith in God and trust in the victories He will bring in their battles against those who seek their harm.
