A missile launched from Yemen toward Israel on Friday morning was successfully intercepted over open terrain. Air-raid sirens were activated across northern Israel. This marks the third missile attack from Yemen in a week.
Advance Warning Issued
Just minutes before sirens were heard, the IDF Spokesperson issued a public alert across multiple platforms regarding the launch.
“The IDF identified a missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Air defense systems are operating to intercept the threat,” the statement read. “Please follow the Home Front Command’s instructions.”
Earlier in the morning, sirens were heard in wide areas across northern Israel—including Haifa, the Krayot, Carmel region, the Galilee, Wadi Ara, and Samaria—following the launch. Israeli air defense forces responded in real time, intercepting the missile before it crossed into Israeli airspace.
