Talia Ovadia donated around NIS 300,000 to purchase natural-hair wigs for women battling cancer, two years after launching her hair brand.

Ovadia, an Israeli Big Brother winner, had promised to donate a tithe from the brand’s profits. Now, according to the report, she has transferred a major sum to help women battling cancer.

The act reflects a deeply Jewish ideology. Deuteronomy teaches, “You shall surely open your hand to him” (Deuteronomy 15:8). In Jewish life, giving is not only generosity. It is responsibility, dignity, and care for another person’s strength.

The wigs were distributed at a special event organized by Ovadia together with the “Chalasartan” nonprofit.

In addition to the natural-hair wigs, the women also received designed headscarves.

For women battling cancer, hair can carry deep emotional weight. It can affect confidence, identity, and the way a person feels while undergoing treatment.

Ovadia said that understanding shaped her decision.

“Over the years, I have met many women dealing with cancer, and I understood how much hair is far more than appearance,” she said. “It is strength, self-confidence, and a sense of femininity.”

Using A Platform For Good

Ovadia said she wanted to use her public platform to help women feel stronger.

“It was important to me to use my platform to help women feel strong and confident in themselves,” she said.

That message stands out in a culture where fame often becomes the goal. Here, Ovadia used public attention to give practical help to women in a painful fight.

Her donation also highlights the power of Israeli civil society. Across Israel, nonprofits, public figures, families, and volunteers often step in where people need support most.

Strength Beyond Survival

The story also connects to a broader Israeli spirit of resilience. As covered earlier in “Mark Levin In Israel: Israelis Will Never Surrender,” Mark Levin praised Israelis during a visit to Israel, saying their determination to survive reflects nearly 4,000 years of Jewish history.

Ovadia’s act shows another side of that same determination. Israel’s strength does not only appear in war. It also appears in compassion, dignity, and the refusal to let people suffer alone.
