The Israel Defense Forces released a series of updates today (Wednesday) revealing continued and systematic violations by Hamas, including the use of ambulances and medical facilities for terror activity and renewed attacks on Israeli forces during the ceasefire, as well as the targeted elimination of terrorists directly responsible for the October 7 massacre and the murder of Israeli hostages.
Hamas Uses Ambulances for Terror Operations
In newly released footage captured by IDF drones operating in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza, armed Hamas operatives are seen repeatedly and methodically using ambulances to transport terrorists and weapons. According to the IDF, the transfers took place between a hospital and a nearby school – both civilian sites protected under international law.
“This is further proof of the cynical exploitation Hamas routinely carries out under the cover of the civilian population for terror purposes,” the IDF stated. “These actions constitute a blatant violation of international law.”
The IDF emphasized that since the ceasefire went into effect, Hamas has focused its efforts on rebuilding its military capabilities while violating the terms of the agreement. Despite Hamas’s conduct, the IDF reiterated that it continues to operate in accordance with international law when engaging near medical facilities and educational institutions, even when Hamas embeds its terror infrastructure within them.
Ceasefire Breached: IDF Officer Seriously Wounded
During overnight operations between Tuesday and Wednesday, terrorists opened fire on IDF forces from an ambush position in the “yellow line” area of northern Gaza, near the Daraj Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City. The IDF force was conducting routine activity on the Israeli-controlled side of the area.
A reserve officer was seriously wounded and evacuated to hospital care. His family has been notified.
The IDF described the incident as a “blatant violation of the ceasefire.” Tanks responded with fire toward the attackers, alongside aerial strikes in the area.
Hamas Terrorists Targeted and Eliminated
In additional response to the ceasefire violation, Israeli forces carried out a targeted strike in southern Gaza against Bilal Abu Assi, a Hamas Nukhba (elite unit) company commander who led the October 7 infiltration and massacre in Kibbutz Nir Oz. During that attack, homes were torched and attacked, and dozens of civilians were murdered and abducted.

According to Israeli intelligence, Abu Assi also played a role throughout the war in holding Israeli hostages, some of whom were later murdered in captivity, and continued to direct terror operations against IDF forces.
The IDF acknowledged reports claiming uninvolved civilians were harmed in the strike. “Prior to and during the attack, extensive measures were taken to minimize harm to uninvolved civilians, including the use of surveillance and precision-guided munitions,” the IDF said, adding that it “regrets any harm to uninvolved civilians.”
In a parallel operation, Israeli forces eliminated Ali Raziana, commander of Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Northern Gaza Brigade. Raziana was responsible for the terror organization’s force deployment and defensive planning in northern Gaza; served on its military council; coordinated terror operations with Hamas; and oversaw the holding of hostages during the war.

Since the ceasefire began, Raziana had been actively involved in rebuilding terror capabilities.
Terrorist Who Murdered Hostage Noa Marciano Eliminated
Later today, Israeli forces also eliminated Muhammad Issam Hassan al-Habil, the Hamas terrorist who murdered IDF reconnaissance soldier Noa Marciano while she was held in captivity.
Marciano was abducted from the Nahal Oz military outpost on October 7. After 38 days in Hamas captivity, she was murdered. Her body was later recovered by Israeli forces and brought to burial in Israel in November 2023.

Israeli intelligence and medical findings determined that Marciano had been wounded – but not critically – during an attempted transfer to Gaza City. She was taken to Shifa Hospital, where al-Habil murdered her. Her body was found in a nearby structure and recovered during a joint IDF–ISA operation.
Even before the war, Marciano had warned of unusual Hamas activity near the border, including training exercises, tunnel digging, and offensive preparations. Her family later revealed that she had expressed serious concerns that the observations made by female reconnaissance soldiers were being dismissed – just days before the October 7 attack.
Israel’s Promise
These developments underscore what Israeli officials describe as a consistent pattern: Hamas’s exploitation of civilians and protected sites, its continued commitment to terrorism even during ceasefires, and Israel’s determination to hold accountable those responsible for the October 7 atrocities and the murder of Israeli hostages.
Since that terrible day, Israeli leaders have often invoked the words of King David, which can be read in Hebrew in the present tense: “I [will] pursue my enemies and overt[ake] them; I [will] not turn back till they [a]re destroyed” (Psalms 18:37 NIV).

Because I want all our enemies to know what is written in our sources: ‘I will pursue my enemies and overtake them, and I will not turn back until they are destroyed.’ We are pursuing them methodically. Together we will stand, together we will fight, and with God’s help — together we will prevail.”
As the IDF continues to dismantle terror networks and hold perpetrators to account, Israel’s brave soldiers are fulfilling that promise.
