This morning (Friday), the Hostage Management Authority informed the families of 33 hostages set to be released in the first phase of the agreement. The list, carefully prepared and previously approved, includes women, children, female soldiers, elderly individuals, and young men with illnesses or injuries. Among those named are individuals whose plight has touched the heart of the nation, such as 9-month-old Kfir Bibas, Romi Gonen, Emily Tehila Damari, and Doron Steinbacher. While the families have been notified, they have yet to receive updates on the condition of their loved ones.

The Hostage Management Authority confirmed that families would receive the names of those to be released 24 hours in advance. As part of the agreement, Hamas is obligated to provide a list of all remaining living hostages by the seventh day.

Deal Approved by Cabinet, Government, and High Court

The Security Cabinet convened this morning to deliberate on the agreement signed overnight in Doha, with a government meeting scheduled for Saturday evening. Legal authorities have assured that no judicial constraints will impede the deal’s execution. A list of prisoners and militants slated for release will be published to allow High Court petitions, though these are expected to be dismissed, ensuring the agreement’s swift and effective implementation.

A National Effort Rooted in Hope and Determination

As the nation and the families pray for the safe return of the hostages, hospitals are preparing to receive them with compassionate care. Meanwhile, the IDF is readying for the deal’s execution, with three divisions stationed near the Gaza Strip to ensure security. If the deal moves forward, it will mark a new phase in Israel’s efforts to protect its people, involving the redeployment of forces to strengthen the nation’s defense.

This monumental moment reflects the biblical promise of God’s faithfulness in times of trial. As it is written: “The Lord will rescue His servants; no one who takes refuge in Him will be condemned.” – Psalms 34:22. The release of the hostages underscores the value of every life and the steadfast hope for deliverance, as the people of Israel stand united in faith and resilience.
