Ayala Ohana is giving Israel a powerful moment on the global stage.

Ohana, a 12-year-old Israeli girl with Gaucher disease, was chosen by global Kia to present the opening ball before the World Cup match between France and Senegal. Ynet reported that Ayala would bring the ball onto the field before the match at MetLife Stadium.

Israel’s Young Representative

Ayala has become known on social media for bravely sharing her life story. Now, she will represent Israel before millions of viewers around the world.

For Israel, this is more than a sports moment. It is a moment of national pride. A young Israeli girl will walk onto one of the biggest stages in the world and represent the Jewish state with strength, joy, and courage.

Shortly before the match, Ayala wrote: “Oh my God, it’s happening soon and I am beyond excited!!! Thank God for the privilege.”

Chosen for Her Story

Ayala’s father previously told Ynet that representatives from Kia Israel contacted him on behalf of global Kia.

“They said that in every country, they choose one child who brings a story, meaning, and value,” he said.

He added that Ayala was chosen from “a very distinguished list of children in Israel,” and that the family was asked to keep it a secret.

A Moment of Israeli Pride

Ayala’s story carries a message far beyond soccer. It reflects resilience, faith, and the ability to turn personal struggle into public strength.

At a time when Israel is often singled out on the world stage, Ayala will stand there with dignity and hope. She will not appear as a symbol of politics, but as a child whose story reflects the courage of Israeli life.

Tonight, as France and Senegal take the field, Israel will have one representative of its own: Ayala Ohana.
