2 Arrested for Filmed Attack on Jew at Damascus Gate
Jerusalem police arrested two suspects shortly after they allegedly spat on a Jewish man and filmed the attack, which they planned to post online for viral content.
Jerusalem District police apprehended the two suspects shortly after the attack. The footage, which was intended for online publication, was found on one of their cell phones.
The two allegedly planned the act in advance to create viral content for social media. One of the suspects approached a Jewish citizen walking in the area and spat on him without any reason or prior provocation, while his friend filmed the attack up close on his cell phone.
