Saudi Arabia Prepares for Major Military Operation Against Houthis in Yemen and to Break Naval Blockade
The British newspaper The Guardian reports that Saudi Arabia is massing forces for a naval maneuver and a possible large-scale ground offensive in central Yemen, aiming to break the Houthi blockade on oil exports in the Red Sea.
At the same time, Riyadh is forming a 14-nation naval coalition and operating in coordination with the U.S. and Western countries. Meanwhile, the Saudi defense minister met at the White House and clarified that Riyadh prefers a diplomatic response to Iran and is not interested in a regional escalation.
