According to reports in the U.S., the summit was attended by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and the military chiefs of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Egypt.

The meeting was held against the backdrop of tensions in the Gulf, and particularly surrounding the Houthis’ takeover of key points in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and tensions with Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
