Sgt. 1st Class Itay Buton, Sgt. 1st Class Afik Teri Killed in Gaza
The IDF announced the deaths of two Givati soldiers, Sgt. 1st Class Itay Buton, 20, and Sgt. 1st Class Afik Teri, 19, who fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. An officer and two other soldiers were seriously wounded in the same incident.
The IDF cleared for publication on Monday morning the names of two fallen soldiers whose families have been notified: Sgt. 1st Class Itay Buton, 20, from Petah Tikva, and Sgt. 1st Class Afik Teri, 19, from Rehovot. Both were soldiers in the Givati Brigade’s Tzabar Battalion and fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
In the battle where Sgt. 1st Class Buton and Sgt. 1st Class Teri fell, an officer and two other soldiers from the Tzabar Battalion were seriously wounded. Additionally, two soldiers from Battalion 17 of the Bislach Brigade were seriously wounded in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. A reservist from Battalion 7008 of the “Arrows of Fire” Formation was also seriously wounded in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. All of the wounded were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment and their families have been notified.
