Qatar’s Hormuz Proposal to Iran Awaits Reply
Qatar has offered Iran a deal to regulate traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and unfreeze $1.3 billion in funds, but a response from Iran’s leader has been delayed.
Qatar proposed regulating ship traffic in Hormuz by using a single demarcated lane and closing two others, as well as unfreezing $1.3 billion for Iran. However, the leader’s response, which was expected yesterday, has not yet been received.
