New Gush Katif Memorial Site Inaugurated

A new community memorial site was inaugurated in the Kissufim Forest, featuring an observation tower overlooking the communities evacuated during the Disengagement.

The community memorial site was inaugurated yesterday in the Kissufim Forest, an investment of approximately 5.5 million shekels by KKL-JNF and the Heritage Center.

The site includes an 18-meter-high observation tower overlooking the area of the communities evacuated in the Disengagement Plan, a circular walking path, and information stations.

Development work, which was frozen at the outbreak of the war, was completed in recent months after receiving security approval from the IDF.
