Knesset Law Paves Way for New Cities

The Knesset plenum has given final approval to an amendment to the Local Councils Ordinance, which allows a local authority to be established before it reaches a population of 5,000 residents.

The law’s approval paves the way for the construction of tens of thousands of housing units in three new cities designated for the Haredi sector: Plougot, Tila, and Menora.
