In a decisive overnight operation, Israeli Air Force fighter jets targeted Hezbollah positions in Lebanon’s Bekaa region. The airstrikes, directed by intelligence from the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate, were carried out to neutralize an imminent threat posed by the Iranian-backed terror group.
During the operation, Israeli jets destroyed an underground facility used for weapons development and production. Additionally, strategic smuggling routes along the Syria-Lebanon border, utilized by Hezbollah to transfer arms, were rendered inoperable. This strike is part of Israel’s broader effort to prevent the continued militarization of the terror organization, which operates with Iran’s backing.

Events Leading Up to the Strikes
The decision to launch the operation was prompted by Hezbollah’s latest violation of ceasefire agreements. Just yesterday (Thursday), an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operated by Hezbollah was intercepted as it attempted to enter Israeli airspace. The incursion was viewed as a direct provocation and a breach of the ceasefire understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
Despite its ongoing commitment to ceasefire agreements, Israel will not tolerate actions that endanger its sovereignty. The IDF reaffirmed that it is prepared to take necessary measures to eliminate threats, ensuring the safety of Israeli citizens and security forces along the northern border.
Israel’s response aligns with biblical principles of self-defense. As Nehemiah proclaimed when protecting Jerusalem from its enemies: “Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.” – Nehemiah 4:20. Just as Israel’s ancestors defended their land, today’s leadership upholds the nation’s right to security, standing firm against those who seek its destruction.
