IDF Halachic Ruling for Tisha B’Av: Combat and Support Soldiers Obligated to Eat and Drink

The Halacha Branch of the Military Rabbinate clarified that soldiers in combat, routine security operations, or on alert do not fast on Tisha B’Av in order to prevent compromising missions.
