IDF Chief of Staff Declares Israel Ready Against Any Threat

Scripture reminds us that ultimate security does not rest in walls, weapons, or watchmen alone: “Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain” (Psalm 127:1). At the same time, the responsibility placed in human hands remains real and immediate. As regional tensions rise and threats multiply, Israel is closely focused on the capabilities, readiness, and deterrent power available to it, and the man who heads the Israel’s defense forces has a message of strength and preparedness to impart.
Against the backdrop of a possible American strike on Iran, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited Nevatim Airbase today (Wednesday), accompanied by IAF Chief, Brig. Gen. Gilad Keinan and additional senior officers. During the visit, Zamir reviewed the base’s readiness and preparedness for sudden escalation scenarios, as well as the integration of the advanced F-35I “Adir” fighter jets.

“The Air Force constitutes the strategic arm of the IDF. Over the past two years of fighting, you have been at the forefront of both the offensive and defensive efforts in near and distant theaters,” Zamir said. “During the war, and in Operation ‘Rising Lion’ [the 12 day military operation in Iran] you have gained operational experience that is unmatched anywhere in the world. We will know how to draw lessons from this experience and use them to ensure the security of the State of Israel at all times.”
“Prepared for a Range of Scenarios”
“Air Force pilots, supported by all the corps’ formations and in close cooperation with the Intelligence branch, are striking across the Middle East to remove threats and defend the citizens of the State of Israel,” he added. “We are prepared for a range of scenarios and are continually enhancing our capabilities in order to achieve victory in the comprehensive campaign against our enemies. This is our responsibility and our mission.”
Zamir also addressed the absorption of the new “Adir” aircraft: “The integration of these new jets marks a significant milestone in strengthening the IDF’s operational capabilities. In the coming years, we will continue to build up the Air Force as a strategic arm, ready to confront and decisively defeat any challenge.”
The Israeli “Adir”
Three F-35I “Adir” fighter jets landed on Sunday at the Israeli Air Force’s Nevatim Airbase, bringing Israel’s total fleet of stealth aircraft to 48.
The “Adir” is a fifth-generation stealth fighter based on Lockheed Martin’s F-35, upgraded and adapted to the Israeli Air Force’s requirements by the IDF and Israel’s defense industries. The aircraft is designed for covert operations in distant arenas and highly contested airspaces, enabling strike missions, suppression of enemy air defenses, intelligence collection, airborne command and control, and real-time sharing of situational awareness with other aerial platforms.

President Trump’s Warning to Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump addressed Iran last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday), referring to alleged assassination threats attributed to the ayatollahs’ regime. Trump said that if a real attempt were made to harm him, the American response would not be limited or pinpointed, but comprehensive.
According to the President, clear instructions have already been issued to security agencies, and the United States would act with unprecedented force. “I have very firm instructions,” he said, emphasizing that there would be no isolated strike but rather a broad move against Iran as a whole.
In Israel, the watchmen stay awake.
