The IDF continues to neutralize Hezbollah weaponry in southern Lebanon, with forces from the 91st Division locating more terror infrastructure in the Security Zone.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, soldiers from the 401st Brigade recently found an underground shaft and a weapons cache in the A-Tiri area of southern Lebanon.
The cache contained rockets and mortars intended for use by Hezbollah terrorists against IDF forces.
The Tanakh says, “The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.” That order matters. Peace requires strength when terror groups hide weapons under Lebanon’s soil.
Hezbollah Weapons Cache Found
In a separate operation in the Maroun al-Ras area, reservists from the Yiftach Brigade, also known as Brigade 679, located explosives, weapons, and additional combat equipment.
The IDF said the weapons were meant for Hezbollah terrorists to use against Israeli forces.
These discoveries show why Israel continues to operate inside the Security Zone. Hezbollah’s threat does not end with public speeches or political pressure. It remains inside tunnels, weapons depots, and villages that the terror group has turned into military positions.
For Israel, every rocket, mortar, and explosive removed from southern Lebanon reduces the danger to soldiers and civilians.
Lebanon’s Sovereignty Problem

The operation also exposes the central problem inside Lebanon. Hezbollah keeps weapons outside state control while claiming to defend Lebanon.
That issue also stands behind “Nabih Berri Attacks Lebanon Deal As Sovereignty Battle Deepens.” Berri attacked the Lebanon agreement with Israel, but his remarks exposed Hezbollah’s deeper struggle against Lebanese sovereignty and state authority.
A truly sovereign Lebanon would not allow an Iranian-backed militia to store rockets and explosives in the south. It would not allow Hezbollah to decide when Lebanon goes to war.
Instead, Hezbollah’s weapons keep Lebanon trapped between Iranian strategy and Israeli security action.
A Shared Moral Calling
For the United States, Hezbollah’s weapons also matter. A stronger Lebanon requires one army, one government, and no Iranian proxy force operating as a state within a state.
For Israel, the mission remains direct: defend the northern border, protect IDF soldiers, and prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding the threat network that placed Israeli communities under fire.
The United States and Israel also share a covenantal understanding before God. Both nations, at their best, see liberty as a moral calling, not only a political system.
That shared belief includes faith in divine promise, the dignity of human life, and the duty to stand with those who refuse to surrender to terror, tyranny, or antisemitism.
For Israel, that duty includes defending Jewish life in the land promised to the Jewish people. For America, it includes using strength to protect freedom and stand with allies who carry that same moral burden.
Ultimately, the weapons found in A-Tiri and Maroun al-Ras prove the point. Hezbollah is not disarmed, Lebanon is not free of its militia problem, and Israel still must act to remove threats before they reach its citizens.
