On the eve of the Tisha B’Av fast and against the backdrop of the election season, President Isaac Herzog appealed to citizens and elected officials, calling for unity and caution against violence, division, and threats to election integrity on social media.
Herzog noted the meeting he held with the Chairman of the Central Elections Committee and the head of the Shin Bet. He called on law enforcement authorities to stand firm against threats from within and without and demanded that politicians from all factions not cross red lines or turn rivals into enemies.
