Defense Minister Katz Accepts Chief of Staff’s Recommendation: Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa to Head Central Command
The Defense Minister’s Office announced that Minister Israel Katz has decided to accept the recommendation of Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, and appoint Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa as commander of the Central Command in the upcoming round of appointments.
The recommendation was submitted at the end of April, after which the minister held a personal interview with Bar Kalifa in June. The office emphasized that the appointment is in line with the policy of the minister and Prime Minister Netanyahu to promote commanders with an offensive and proven track record.
