Report: Gulf states frustrated by lack of US strategy on Iran
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the Arab countries in the region requested additional air defense missile aid, alongside guarantees that the American military would defend them if the exchange of strikes resumes.
The report noted that not all Gulf states are pushing to de-escalate tensions. According to senior Gulf officials involved in the talks, some of the countries, including the United Arab Emirates, have been working with Trump in recent days to convince him to take tougher measures against Iran.
