Aliyah From Britain

Shocking testimony from Britain: A Jewish doctor is making aliyah to Israel after saying he witnessed antisemitism inside the medical system.

The doctor, identified by the name Baruch, had his real name changed for safety reasons. In an interview with Britain’s ITV, he said the situation had become so disturbing that he decided to leave Britain and move to Israel.

Baruch said he had encountered doctors who told him they would not treat patients from Israel.

“It deeply frightens me that I met doctors who said they would not directly treat someone who came from certain parts of the world,” he said.

He then described an even more alarming scenario.

“If someone is dying in an emergency room and they are from Israel, there were doctors who told me they would not treat them. I find that disgraceful.”

Hospital Antisemitism

For Baruch, the issue goes beyond politics. It touches the most basic medical ethic: a doctor’s duty to treat the patient in front of them.

According to his testimony, some medical professionals crossed a line from anti-Israel hostility into refusing care to Israelis.

Baruch also said he had witnessed cases in which Jewish patients were not given kosher food during their hospital stay.

Forced to Leave

Baruch’s family has roots in Britain stretching back nearly 400 years, to the 17th century. But the current reality left them feeling they had no choice.

His parents and sisters have already made aliyah. Now, Baruch is packing his bags and moving to Israel as well.

“It is sad that a family that has been here for almost 400 years is being forced to leave,” he said.

That is the deeper story.

Aliyah is often a choice of hope, identity, and return. But in moments like this, it can also become a response to fear.

For Baruch, Israel is not only another country. It is the one place built to protect Jewish life when Jews no longer feel safe where they are.
