Located near the town of Metula, Nahal Ayun Nature Reserve stands as Israel’s northernmost park. After being shuttered for over a year due to the war, the reserve will once again welcome visitors tomorrow (Thursday). In preparation for this reopening, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority worked diligently to restore its trails and lush vegetation, ensuring the site’s readiness to greet nature lovers and pilgrims alike.
Tourism Revival in Israel’s North
A beloved destination that draws over 180,000 visitors annually, Nahal Ayun is the last of the northern nature reserves to reopen. Since the November ceasefire, over 350,000 visitors have already flocked to northern Israel’s scenic landmarks, signaling a revival of tourism and normalcy in the region.
