The national emergency system, government ministries, and security agencies will hold a large-scale drill in the next two days simulating a response to an unconventional terror event.
During searches by a Golani Reconnaissance Unit force in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon, a Hezbollah terrorist opened fire from a structure at the soldiers. The forces returned fire, fired shells at the location, and killed the terrorist. Two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded in the incident and were evacuated for medical treatment.
In the eighth spot is party activist Tzachi Eliyahu; in the ninth spot, Yossi Goldberger, an operative from the Chabad Hasidic movement; in the tenth spot is the party’s director-general and bereaved brother Itiel Neiman; the 11th spot is taken by Adv. David Bavli, the minister’s legislative advisor.
In the third and fourth spots on the list are Yitzhak Wasserlauf and Amichai Eliyahu, followed by Knesset members Limor Son Har-Melech and Yitzhak Kroizer.
In response, the IDF attacked terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Among the targets struck were a weapons depot and a number of terrorists who were transferring weapons in the area.
May Golan added, “After 15 consecutive years of non-stop public service day and night, including 7 years in the Knesset, while also being a minister waging tremendous battles, I feel that this is the right time for me to take a break for myself.”
Among other things, it was reported that a vehicle was attacked from the air. Several terrorists were eliminated at the scene.
All headquarters, branches, and commands participated in the surprise General Staff drill. The forces practiced responding to raids, shooting incidents, and kidnappings.
