In response to criticism of the strike in Syria, Minister of Defense Israel Katz:

“After it was proven that the IDF recommended the move, they began to claim that the warnings against Turkey are ‘unnecessary and dangerous’ and that a feeling was created ‘as if we went out for some evening stroll with a light breeze… and Erdogan is actually some lover of Zion.’ It’s a good thing they don’t influence anything today, and we very much hope for the sake of Israel’s security that they will not reach positions of influence with such views in the future.”
