Ben Gvir demanded the immediate closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem, the revocation of British diplomats’ work visas, and a halt to the activities of the “British Council.” In his letter, the minister clarified that the British Mandate has ended and Israel will not tolerate a violation of its sovereignty.
