Ben Gvir Demands Netanyahu Close British Consulate in East Jerusalem

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar to take firm action against Britain following its expected sanctions. Ben Gvir demanded the immediate closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem, the revocation of British diplomats’ work visas, and a halt to the activities of the “British Council.” In his letter, the minister clarified that the British Mandate has ended and Israel will not tolerate a violation of its sovereignty.
