U.S. President Donald Trump announced that following talks with Middle Eastern leaders, the U.S. is waiving a 20% reimbursement fee for passage through the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for massive trade and investment deals from Gulf states in the U.S.
At the same time, Trump announced that the strait is open to all countries except Iran, which will face a full naval blockade. He pledged: “Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.”
